What We Heard in the Field
I don't do questionnaires. I show up. I meet with coaches, parents, kids, and administrators. I listen firsthand to the situations โ not summaries of situations. Over 10 years, I personally reached out to municipal leagues, school districts, AAU programs, Little Leagues, soccer leagues, and high school athletic associations. I shared scenarios, asked hard questions, and guaranteed anonymity so people could speak freely. What came back was honest, unfiltered, and consistent across every type of organization. Every tool in this platform was built in direct response to what I heard and saw in the field.
Social Media & Family Dynamics
"I don't know where guidance ends and control begins. My kid lives on that phone and I feel like I'm losing them to it."
โ Parent, Municipal Youth League
Parent-Coach Communication
"I want to advocate for my child, but I'm terrified that if I say something, the coach will take it out on them during games."
โ Parent, High School Athletic Association
Encouragement Without Pressure
"How do I push my kid to work hard and be accountable without becoming the parent they dread seeing in the stands?"
โ Parent, AAU Basketball Program
Community vs. Platform
"We provide a program, but we don't have a community. Parents drop kids off and leave. We're just a venue."
โ Director, City Recreation Department
Volunteer Culture
"Our volunteers burn out because nobody sees them. We need a culture where kids and parents know their names and say thank you."
โ Administrator, Youth Soccer League
Safety & Prevention Gaps
"We had no policy. A situation happened and we realized we'd never talked to our coaches or parents about any of this."
โ Athletic Director, High School Association
I have spent most of my life in education and coaching, and the greatest advantage I have ever had is hands-on experience. Real people. Real kids. Real families. Real situations.
I once read something from a doctor that stuck with me. He said parents often see the title before the name, and that title creates instant credibility. I understand that. Credentials matter. Education matters. Expertise matters.
But there is another kind of credibility too โ the kind that comes from living it.
I want to speak to real parents about real situations they face with their children every day. That is where trust is built. That is where honest conversation begins. And that is where we can find the middle ground that helps relationships grow stronger and helps us better serve our kids.
I respect doctors, lawyers, nurses, police officers, teachers โ everybody. We all have something to offer. But one thing so many of us share is that we are connected to children, whether as parents, mentors, coaches, or caregivers.
My work has always been about taking those real-life interactions and bringing them back to the family, helping adults better understand kids and better serve them through youth sports.
Because the truth is simple: I cannot really teach you how to ride a bike if I have never ridden one myself.
So let's ride.
